A more modern material than brass. Our Stainless Steel Nameplates are supplied with a dull polished (brushed) finish in a 316 grade material which is suitable for submerging in salt water. We use 1.5 - 2mm thick material dependant on size. Often infilled black but can incorporate many colours particularly when logos are required.
Widely used in the medical professions, doctors, dentists and opticians as well as company, solicitor, accountant and house name plates, commemorative and memorial plaques.
Ideally suited for either interior or exterior use but in contrast to brass it will not tarnish.
Logo’s, borders and hardwood backing boards can all be added to enhance your nameplate.
Borders, the standard border incorporates scalloped corners which surround and highlight the screws.
Hardwood bases, from sustainable forests, are supplied in either light or dark mahogany or light oak. All bases are supplied with an ovolo edge surround and are primed with two coats of exterior lacquer.
Nameplate Fixings, either screws or self adhesive, are supplied with all nameplates when requested. Larger nameplates (from 8" x 6") are supplied with domed or flat covers to the screws, we do not recommend self adhesive for these sizes. Wooden base fixings, screws and universal wall plugs are supplied with all hard wood bases. We recommend a using a minimum of three fixings to avoid warping.
When ordering a nameplate with a wooden base the nameplate will be supplied fixed to the base. The nameplate will need to be removed from the base prior to fitting. Fitting, remove the nameplate from the base. Drill the wooden base where there are high spots on the wall (if any). Screw the base to the wall using a minimum of three screws and fit the nameplate to the base.
