Description
Our traditional Brass Commemorative Wall Plaques are ideal as a lasting and timeless memorial of that special occasion, they are produced to order using a high quality engravers brass 1.5mm thick complete with bevelled edges (other thicknesses are available). The text is often filled black but can incorporate many colours particularly when logos are required.
Ideally suited for either interior or exterior use however they will tarnish with time and location, regular cleaning with a recognised polish will create a patina on the surface that will delay the rate of tarnish.
Logo’s, borders and Tricoya wood backing boards can all be added to enhance your commemorative plaque. The standard border incorporates scalloped corners which surround and highlight the screws.
Our Tricoya bases, from FSC Certified sustainable forests, are supplied in either light or dark mahogany or light oak finishes. All bases are supplied with a 45° bevelled edge.
Tricoya wood excels in outdoor environments and its durability is class 1 (under EN350-2) which is classed as more durable than Oak. For more information about Tricoya please see our information sheet.
Nameplate Fixings, either screws or self-adhesive, are supplied with all nameplates when requested. Larger nameplates (from 8" x 6") are supplied with domed covers to the screws, we do not recommend self-adhesive for these sizes.
Wooden base fixings, screws and universal wall plugs are supplied with all Tricoya bases. We recommend a using a minimum of three fixings to avoid warping.
When ordering a nameplate with a wooden base the nameplate will be supplied fixed to the base. The nameplate will need to be removed from the base prior to fitting.
Fixing
Brass Commemorative Wall Plaques can be supplied with screws, self-adhesive or without fixings.
Screw Fixings:- Plaques are supplied with 4 x fixing holes and screws. Sizes 200 x 150mm and above are supplied with domed cover caps. View a video tutorial on how to fit your plaque.
When ordering a nameplate with screw fixings and Tricoya base, the nameplate will be supplied fixed to the base. View a video tutorial on how to fit your plaque and base.
Wooden base fixings:- screws and universal wall plugs are supplied with all Tricoya bases. NB Bases are not supplied with fixing holes. A guide is available for additional fitting instructions.
Self-Adhesive:- (Not recommended for plaques 200 x 150mm and over) Plaques are supplied with a high grip exterior grade self-adhesive tape, for further information please see our fittings guide.
Product Care
Brass is a metal that will tarnish in its natural form. How quickly this tarnishing occurs is dependent on where the plaque is sited and the conditions the plaque maybe exposed to.

Delivery
Delivery Schedule: Receive Your Order Within 3-5 Working Days
Brunel Engraving maufacture all items to bespoke requirements and we endeavor to despatch all orders within 3-5 working days from date of order or artwork approval.
For more urgent orders you may request a specified date and select our "Fast Track" service, to receive your order within 1-3 working days from date of order or artwork approval.
If you need your items by a specified date, please enter this information in the ‘Special Requirements / Additional Comments / Requested Date’ box found at the bottom of the ordering process on all product pages.
Dispatch:
We dispatch all orders via Parcelforce on a next working day service and all items can be tracked online. We dispatch to UK mainland, Isle of Man, Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands & Northern Ireland.
For orders over the value of £300 we offer a free delivery to UK Mainland addresses.
For AM delivery services, additional insurance requests and deliveries outside of these zones, please contact the sales team for a personalised quotation.
You may also collect your order from our premises which are located at BS21 6QH. Our reception is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Good quality product although a bit on the expensive side. I would have expected that the screw holes would be pre-drilled.

This is an excellent product, and it was swiftly made and delivered. It was not cheap, but for something that is going to be on display and is expected to last it is worth getting a premium product/service.

I ordered the plaque over the Xmas holiday and they came back on the Monday and they had dispatched the plaque on Tuesday and I received it on Wednesday. They kept me informed all the way and were extremely helpful. Will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend them.

It was very nice quality and as expected. We had a really tight deadline and the team managed to get it made and sent out quickly and in time which i am very thankful for. The one thing that was missing, which might have been user error, we would have really liked it to come in a nice box but otherwise it was perfect.

The finished item was exactly as we had hoped. Good quality brass with a decorative border and wonderfully clear engraving. The plaque arrived well packaged. The service all the way through from Brunel Engraving was excellent.
